Clear, practical training to help you feel confident, in control, and supported every step of the way. Personalised one-to-one coaching for real-world behaviour, with guidance you can actually use day to day.

I’m Stephen Rigby, a dog trainer and behaviour coach based in Brighton, working with owners
across Sussex.
For more than 15 years, I’ve worked hands-on with dogs of all breeds, ages, and behavioural backgrounds — from the chaos of young puppies to complex reactivity, anxiety, and assistance
dog work.
During that time, I’ve also worked with organisations including Guide Dogs, The
RSPCA, and Canine Partners, which has shaped a calm, structured, and realistic approach to
training.
Most owners come to me feeling unsure, frustrated, or overwhelmed. They’ve often tried advice from friends, trainers, or online sources, but nothing feels clear or consistent.
My role is to make sense of what’s happening, reduce pressure, and give you a plan that actually works in everyday life.
I focus on practical training in the environments where behaviour happens — at home, on your regular walks, and in the situations you find most challenging.
Everything is explained clearly,
step by step, so you always understand what we’re working on, why it matters, and how to keep things moving forward between sessions.
If you’re looking for calm, honest guidance and a clearer way forward with your dog, I’m here to
help.
If behaviour is affecting your day-to-day life and you want structured support rather than quick fixes, my one-to-one training programme is the best place to start.
